My son had his yearly check-up this morning, and the doctor of course had to bring up my teenage son’s acne problem, which of course embarrassed my son even more than the having to pee in a cup did… Anyway, he referred to his acne as acne nodules, which of course, I’ve never heard of, but they’re unfortunately supposed to be long term and quite painful if not taken care of properly.
On top of this, he (the doctor) also recommends that we see an eye doctor, because he believes that my son may need glasses.
On top of that, he (my son) has his first orthodontist appointment in three weeks, because he needs braces according to the dentist.
My son looked at me on the way home, with a look of pure anguish, and asked why it had to all hit at once. I swear, I tried not to laugh!
I suggested that maybe if he does need glasses, he could get contacts instead, and possibly – if they’re not too much more expensive, the invisible brace trays – invisalign, I believe their called, but even that didn’t seem to help…
Poor kid!
