Yes, I love being woken up by a child climbing on my head trying to get to the middle of our bed.
My daughter had a nightmare last night too! She said there were skeletons in our neighbor’s tree with robes that were white and kind of “billowy.” She said they kept trying to get us. Kids can have such scary dreams!

Oh, I get the scary dreams relayed in excruciating detail (more than I could want). I have to admit, I enjoy when she comes in. I think it is because my older one doesn’t come into my bed anymore.

I sometimes wish she’d at least tell me what was so scary about her dreams – but she never does. When she was little, and we had a normal bed, I didn’t mind her getting into bed with us. But now that she’s over fifty pounds and our bed is three and a half feet high, she always lands right on my head when she launches herself off the steps. It’s like being woken up from a dead sleep with a bowling ball hitting your head.

Yes, for once! Usually she’s much like her father and I have to listen to every detail of every dream, and she’s had some real weird ones, most of the time her bad dreams involve one of our dogs getting hurt. Thanks for stopping by!
