My kids left today at noon with my parents and and sisters to go camping, it’s only 4pm now, and already they’ve called me twice…
Not exactly my daughter’s first time away from home overnight, but pretty close, the last time was last year at this time when she went camping with the family. I gave everyone instructions on her little ‘quirks’ and her big brother, 14, is with them, but she still keeps throwing them for loops. First with getting car sick, something she doesn’t do often, but occasionally, and unpredictably… Then with her wanting to brush her generic brand for cialis teeth with her special toothpaste, after they had a snack, she won’t use any toothpaste that doesn’t have the word ‘kids’ in the name…
I have a feeling I’m going to be going to get her before they’re due to come home Sunday night… *sigh*
Oh well, it’s been unnaturally quiet here this afternoon anyway…

Hope you don’t have to pick her up and in the end she’ll have a great time my grandchildren use to sometimes miss home for a few minutes and I’d try to distract them and they’d usually be alright.
It’s difficult to make that first transition of being away however it’s important to their future for when you can’t get to them and they have to finish their quest. Wishing you the best of luck and that this works out for you and the children.

I hope you daughter ends up having fun and they manage to stay all weekend. This morning my boys left with my dad until Monday. They have called me several times already but that’s ok I don’t mind. LOL Dakota just likes to talk sometimes. This time he wanted to say hello to his baby sister. LOL
