I pick on my husband, when he gets cranky I call him Ed, which is his middle name actually. I tell him that I want Russ to come back, because he’s the one I married, not Ed.

Ed is a control freak. He always has to have everything done in a certain way, and right when he wants it done. He’s a slave driver who pushes everyone to keep to the same high standards that he himself keeps. Russ, on the other hand, is a laid back easy going guy. He doesn’t get upset, he doesn’t yell, he doesn’t push. He’s a guy that everyone can like.

When we fight, I always walk away and tell him that I’ll talk when Russ comes back.

He’s decided lately that I must also be a dual personality. Lynn, a spoiled rotten control freak who has to have everything her own way, who can be a real witch and drive everyone crazy, much like Ed; and Leigh, who is much more laid back, she can still be a bitch in her own way, but she’s not psychotic like Lynn. Leigh can easily be calmed down through cheap drugs online distraction, while Lynn is so focused on what she’s mad about that she can’t even think of anything else. I believe that everyone is like this; at least I know I am. I even keep a blog for each personality. We all have our ‘Work’ personality, and our ‘Free time’ personality. This is what keeps us sane as we muddle through life.
