Well, Memorial Day threw me off, and now my whole week is off… I’m still on Tuesday, yet they inform me that it is in fact Wednesday. Oh well, I guess these things will happen!
Hubby took Friday and Tuesday off so he had a five day weekend to work around the house and attend Manfest (more on Manfest coming later). I was so happy to see him head off for work this morning that I almost did a little happy dance when he pulled out of the driveway! I love the man dearly, but he’s exhausting to be around, and I only have a few days left to be home alone before school starts and the demon spawn my wonderful children are home for three whole months. If this weekend was anything to go by, I’m really dreading a summer of boredom and fights! I now know why Betas can’t be put in the same bowl!
Hubby spent Friday re-grading the site for the pool (it was one inch out of level last year), and then setting up the pool (it’s still one inch off level – but he tore up the yard to get it that way), and finding that he had somehow misplaced needed parts the pins that hold it together, the pool pumps and filters, the screws for the ladder… So then he ran around town trying to find without prescription drugs generic cialis canadian everything he needed.
After that we decided that next year we’re getting a a real pool, one that stays up all year, instead of the Wal-mart kind, it’ll save us tons of money in the long run, due to all the lost parts… And then we can build a real deck around it…
Yet another item on the ever growing landscaping list… Right after the flagstone patio we’ve decided to put in out front… By the time we finish all the projects on this list we’ve been making, we’ll be too old to enjoy any of it, and then we’ll die and the kids will sell the place…
*******
Less than one week until summer vacation – this school year seemed to be really short! Year round school is starting to sound really good to me! I usually look forward to summer vacation, I used to hate being alone all the time, now I long to be alone… I don’t think my kids ever fought this badly before though either – last summer my son still hadn’t entered the cranky teenager state yet…
Speaking of my son, now that he’s definitely decided he doesn’t want to go to vo-tech, he’s decided that he wants to be a doctor. How the heck did he go from wanting to be in computer security in the air force to wanting to be a doctor – and a psychologist at that?
I guess I’ll never know the inner workings of a teenage boy’s mind, I don’t even think I want to know… I miss the days when he wanted to be a superhero!

The beta analogy is perfect. My kids fight all the time when they are trapped in the same bowl. I am dreading summer vacation. We have 3 more weeks. I am going to enjoy every minute of it.
Lucky you! I’d give just about anything to have another three weeks child free!
