Vampire Vegtables, Are They Okay for Your Kids

Late breaking news….

Veggies have gone to the dark side, beware of vampire vegetables on the loose.

Last night my husband’s best friend called, all in a tizzy, as my gram would say, because apparently I’m the only person he knows who reads a lot.  Yeah, how sad is that?

His twelve year old daughter had asked him about some books she wanted about vampire vegetables, he told me.  But when his mother, the child’s grandmother went to the store to get them for her, she thought they looked too old for her granddaughter and she refused to buy them.  The little girl was quite upset and made her dad call her mother and ask permission, the mother said yes, but since his mother said no, he wanted another opinion.

At this point I’m still questioning vegetable vampires…

I told him that I’d have to read the books to have an opinion.

He replied that my hubby told him I have read them…

By this time I’m totally baffled.  I’ve never heard of vampire vegetables. And my hubby rarely pays any attention to what I read.

They’re about the Cullets, he tells me when I still can’t come up with anything.

And then…

It was like a light bulb came on inside my head, and I figured cialis replacement it out.

This goes to sow how well he was paying attention to his daughter when she told him about it.

He was talking about the Twilight books…  Vampire Vegetables?  They call themselves Vegetarian Vampires, for a man’s logic, I guess it could sound like that…

By the time I finished laughing and could finally talk, I realized that I still couldn’t really give him an opinion…

The books are considered to be for young adults, but is a twelve year old old enough?

I can’t say whether or not I would let my daughter read them at that age or not, but then I remember that my fourteen year old son just read The Hunger Games, but he’s a boy, buying prescription drugs online and he’s a bit older…

So I end up being absolutely no help to him at all…  But I told him I would look into it.

What’s your opinion, is twelve too young for young adult books in general, Twilight specifically?

I found it hilarious, especially for this guy in particular, because he’s always going on about how the daughter’s mother never listens to what she’s saying, and then he gets this totally wrong because he zoned out when she was talking to him. Thanks for stopping by!

It is very hard to say. My daughter is 10 and she has friends who have read the Twilight books so some people think that 10 is old enough. I don’t think she is old enough so I have not let her read them. To be honest, I don’t know that she would enjoy them. She isn’t really into romance yet.

I can’t see that this little girl is too much into romance either, she’s usually talking about her horses. I can’t see letting my twelve year old daughter read them, not that I have one, and ten is definitely way too young. Maybe around fourteen, they’d be appropriate, I was probably reading trashy romance novels at that age, and I pretty much let my son read anything he wants now, we often share books. But he seems so much more adult compared to the twelve year old girl. I’m glad it’s not my ultimate decision – at least yet.

LOL! Probably the reason why kids don’t like to eat vegetables. Because they’ll suck your blood.
IMO, Twilight shouldn’t be read by anyone aged 200 and below. Haha~ sorry, I’m just kidding.
I think as long as the person could fully understand the book, then they can read it. The 12-year old girl missed some details. :D

Yeah, I think it’s a bit old for a twelve year old.
