I think your title and the picture of the TV with the words “READ INSTEAD” is humorous and thought-provoking.

I have personally wasted many thousands of hours watching TV. I now watch very little, except for Fox News channel, “Man Tracker,” along with a flyspeck of science and interesting animal and survivor programing. I read much on the Internet, but no books whatsoever. I used to read books years ago – before the Internet came along.

Now, if the other main reason besides TV that people don’t read is the Internet, the logic would be to put the words, “READ INSTEAD” on a computer monitor. But this may lead many people who go on the Internet to believe that they either they should read more porn stories, instead of ogling at pics and vids, or stop reading things on the Internet, like your fine blog, and mine.

If reading is the objective, then the Internet is the anwer – minus a healthy amount of the stimulative pics and vids.
