On February 12, I was in a car accident, and got a bit banged up.

Ironically enough, I was with a friend on my way to pick up my own car from getting yet another tire fixed (And we still haven’t figured out where all the screws are coming from, 3 tires in 3 months), so I wasn’t even driving.

I’m home now though, and trying to sort out the big mess that has piled up for me while I was relaxing at the local hospital, letting people wait on me hand and foot.

Pretty soon, I’ll be as good as new, I hope, able to type with more than one hand, able to stay awake for more than 6 hours at a time – which right now seems like a major feat.

Of course, to welcome me home – my children have strep, so my poor hubby has his hands full.

Also to welcome me home, tons and tons of spam on my sites and email, a hacked twitter account, a desk I can’t find, bills that no one paid while I was gone, very hyper dogs whom apparently missed mommy so much that thay’re going to eat me and some good things – a brand new cell phone to replace mine that was damaged along with me and that I have missed terribly, my brand new custom built computer with 1TB hard drive, 9 Gigs of RAM, and an Intel Core i7 quad core processor.

So I will be doing my best to catch up on everything as quickly as possible.

But when it comes to important texts, such as when I’m giving hubby the shopping list, I always worry over whether or not my text is actually going through.  Yeah, I get that ‘message sent’ pop up, but just because the message was sent, it doesn’t mean that it was actually received on the other end.

What happens when someone texts you, but your phone is off, or in an out of service area, are those texts lost out in text land, or do they just hang around waiting for that person to get back ‘online’?

Now, I wonder how do I get rid of all the bogus charities that call asking for donations this time of year?

This has been quite a bad few days, more computer problems, power outages, and another insurance stalker…

Friday night I shut down my computer like I always do, Saturday it took three tries to get it to boot up, Saturday night I once again shut it down, but then was too busy on Sunday, and without power for a few hours, to ever get a chance to even boot it up.  Monday morning – it kept hanging up while trying to load windows, safe mode worked, but even system restores wouldn’t let windows load normally.  I was seriously ready to throw the thing out the window!

Eight hours it took to get the damn thing booted up!  Needless to say, my new desktop has been ordered, unfortunately since it’s a custom order it’s not going to ship until Monday, February 15, 2010.  But at least I see the light at the end of this tunnel of constant computer problems!

As I worked on my computer on Monday, the dang home phone line rang off the hook all day, some insurance company wanting to know about my insurance needs and trying to sell me term life insurance.  I finally took the phone off the hook, hoping that anyone who really needed to get ahold of me, would know to try my cell phone.

Oh By the way – Happy Groundhog’s Day!  I can’t wait until it’s over – the traffic today has been terrible with all the stupid people who like to visit Gobbler’s Knob!

I mean, he worked out with his weight bench and other exercise equipment…

Not that that isn’t a great natural fat burner, but I’m not really one to kiss and tell…

I think him, seeing me working out on his equipment motivated him to use it more…

I know, once again, that didn’t come out quite right…

Or maybe I just have a dirty mind.

My hubby, like me, seems to lean toward OCD on certain things.  Things like housekeeping, yard work and especially working out.

Exercise:  he has a love hate relationship with it.  He loves to look fit and in shape, but he hates to take the time to work out, at least part of the time.  The other part of the time he wants to work out constantly.

A few weeks ago he was in that stage – he just couldn’t stand to stay away from his home gym, which was in our garage, he kept buying all kinds of diet supplements aimed at men and building muscle, and obsessed over all of it.

So I gave in.  I let him haul his weight bench, free weights, and a few other things up to our bedroom, and I packed away my sewing table until spring.

Since that time, he’s used the weight bench about three times, and I’ve had to drag out my sewing machine at least ten times…

But I’m trying to hold my tongue and instead just encourage him to use the home gym…  And, I have been using it a bit myself, so maybe it’s not such a bad thing, that my bedroom looks like a gym, with a bed shoved in the corner…

A friend told me that she started noticing that she got dark circles when she started on a cholesterol treatment, but I haven’t started on any new medicine or anything either…

Maybe I’m just getting old.

Tretinoin cream is what’s been recommended for the type of acne that my teenage son has, and I’m clueless as to what it is, or what it does.

I’ve seen it referred to also as retin A, I believe.  But I thought that was an anti-aging cream?  If I remember right, back years ago, a friend who was selling Avon at the time gave me a tube of something with retin A in it that was supposed to help with fine lines and wrinkles… As in anti-aging cream…

I’m sure my son doesn’t want to look any younger, because he already has a hard time passing for his age as it is.  So is this an acne treatment or a wrinkle cream?

But now, I’m back up and running – with new electrical circuits in the house, my office and the kitchen have been put on separate circuits, and they added a third breaker so that I actually have two whole breakers for just my office – I should haven’t any problems plugging everything in now!

My computer also has a new power supply in it, despite the fact that I’ve already picked out a new computer that I plan on buying as soon as I get our taxes done, and make sure that I still have enough left in my business account to afford the new computer, but I’m not too worried.  I always over estimate what I should owe on taxes for my business, so that there’s very little possibly come tax time, that I wouldn’t have enough!  Better safe than sorry!

Now that everything is back to normal – well better than normal actually, I realized that all the posts I emailed in last week, are stuck – because my cron jobs weren’t going through for some reason.  I’m slowly working on getting them to show up, when I have a few free moments between dealing with all my client’s problems that cropped up in the last week.

Although, I do feel like I lost a week of work – which I pretty much did, I did enjoy my new books immensely.  I read the whole set, and a few of the short stories in under a week.  So, some good did come out of it!

Besides reading, I also did some research on how to treat acne for my son – his face is slowly starting to clear up a bit, and we’re hoping with long term treatment it’ll get a lot better.  Maybe now the braces and glasses won’t be so bad? I doubt it….
