My dear father, he’s always good for either hours of entertainment, or hours of frustration whenever he calls or emails.
My father doesn’t have a romantic bone is his body, but I have to give him credit, he sometimes gives it a good try. A few days ago he emailed me with the idea of taking my mom away for a romantic weekend for their anniversary, which just so happens to be the day before Valentine’s Day. At first he couldn’t decide where to take her, but eventually he decided. buy prescription drugs with no prescription Thinking nothing of it, I told him that I thought it was a wonderful idea, and I wished him generic cialis buy well.
It didn’t occur to me how he planned to make the reservations, or anything like that. Heck, he’s been traveling for more years than I’ve been alive. But then he also has an internet weakness. He thinks he knows what he’s doing, but he always manages to screw it up.
When he first got internet access his first visits were to porn sites, of course, he is a man after all. About six months into his internet foray, he found some charges on his credit cards that he was sure he didn’t make. Here he thought he was only verifying his identity with a credit card, but in reality he was subscribing to the service for a monthly fee. He did this on many sites, and was suddenly dumbstruck that he had been paying for it. He managed to get all of his subscriptions canceled and with the help of our attorney, reverse some of the charges because the pages were misleading. I’m not too sure how the lawyer went about that one, because I could never look the guy in the eye and talk to him about my dad’s porn habits, that was one dad had to handle on his own. I still go red whenever I think about it.
Then a few years later it was his foray into online account transfers through the bank website. That lasted until he bounced his whole payroll, because he had transferred the money into the wrong account. After that he swore off the internet for a while, as all it had done for his was to cause embarrassment.
There have been many blunder since then, but none as amusing as those two. Until maybe this time.
Apparently he didn’t have a clue to how he was going to arrange their romantic weekend, so he turned to the internet and typed in luxury hotel rooms along with his destination and came upon a beautifully designed website that promised just what he was looking for. He filled out the form and got his reservation all set, then he checked his email for the confirmation, and it was from Choice hotels. Not exactly the kind of “luxury rooms” he was looking for. I had to laugh at this point, because it meant he hadn’t even looked over the rooms or anything, he was just letting the search engine determine what luxury meant. Way to go dad!
Last I heard, and after I pointed him in the right direction, he had booked a beautiful room in the kind of luxury he was looking for. You’re welcome Mom!

What a romantic idea! That is great. The porn story was very funny (although probably not for him). The best thing to do is not give anyone a credit card

It was funny after the fact, during that time when he called me in for help, I was mortified, having to sit there and look at porn with my father so that he could show me the sites.
Thanks for stopping by!
