Thanks to the help of some wonderful Wordpress plugins it’s easy to remove the “No Follow” attribute from all comments and trackbacks.
Most blog platforms have a built in default for the ‘NoFollow’ code. Wherever there is a link in a comment, search engines will not follow the link as they are crawling the internet, thus not providing backlinks and trackbacks. Its intended purpose was to help stop comment spam, but it doesn’t work. What it does do is remove some of the incentive for readers to contribute to your site by commenting on your posts.

Feel free to leave me a message if you’re a “follower” too!
Just looking to get a link from a do follow blog – well, guess what – leaving just one comment gets you NOTHING. I am a do follower, but only for loyal readers. There is a minimum comment count before the no follow tag is removed. And I only tolerate one garbage comment per person before I start deleting them!
Yes, just because we follow, does not mean we tolerate spam! I love to get comments from new readers, but it takes a few comments before the “no follow” will be removed. Become a loyal reader/commenter to feel the comment love and have the “no follow” attribute removed!

Hi,
I’m Do Follower too.
From your title, you looks serious with telling what’s inside your head?
Do you want to know what’s inside my head too?
Hey Jimy!
Good to know others are Do Followers too!
What’s on my mind is what my blog’s about, so I thought that an appropriate title!
I’d love to know what’s on your mind!
Thanks, Leigh
Guess, what’s inside a guy’s head?
Well, according to my husband, men are usually thinking naughty thoughts… And that’s been my experience too!
I did like your answer…. but that’s not why I am here. I’d like to tell you about mine do follow blogs if you are interested or having a kind of list etc.

How ironic that I found your post today! I recently removed the nofollow from my blogs, which are now “Do Follow.” My restrictions are much like yours.
I also have a super-great spam filter that catches virtually everything. I didn’t realize that so many blogs have this added feature now. Thanks for sharing, and for dropping by my EC!

Cool list! My blog is a Do Follow Blog also!
my blog is do follow, like to have intense and lengthy deep discussions
Good info here but care to check this site of yours…its nofollow. how about “converting” this to dofollow? thanks
Read the article above the list – this blog is only DO FOLLOW to loyal commenters, there is a minimum number of comments before each commenter’s links become Do Follow!
Not being super techy, this has been a real challenge for me. I kept reading about plug in’s, colors turning red or blue if you had the FF browser and loaded the add on. So, I did that. My colors don’t turn red or blue, they turn purple. I’ve yet to determine if purple is good or bad. Then read the plug in being discussed was ONLY for wordpress…ugh I’m a blogger/blogspot blog. Searched high and low and found how to remove the no follow from the code on my 3 blogs. Felt like dancing in the streets when I was successful at doing that. Then added my cool widget thing to show others I’m a do follow. But, now am confused again by your post. How can you be both? I mean I don’t understand how you can be a do follow just when certain people hit a certain number of comments? As I’ve tried to learn about this by reading tons of blogs you’re either a do follow or a no follow. Which brings me to yet another question, do you know how the toolbar is suppose to work? I uninstalled it at one point, thinking maybe it just hadn’t loaded properly? Since it was purple instead of red or blue. Then loaded it again, and it’s still purple. I still have it, don’t use it, cause I’ve not found anyone able to tell me how it’s suppose to work. Right now for instints, just thought I’d try it. When I click it in my tool area, it turns the word reply sorta of pink color. I’m really interested in learning about this, and got my fingers crossed you can help me with it.
Swing by for a visit, the welcome mats always out. I return every comment. Been lucky I guess, cause spam hasn’t been an issue for me; how do you keep track of comments? Is doing that cumbersome? I’ve given links to people I consider to be regulars; but as I understand what I think is happening everyone who leaves a comment gets the benefit currently. Thanks, have a great day
Sandy
The wordpress plugin I use allows me to set the number of comments someone must leave before the “nofollow” attribute is removed from all of their comments. It keeps people from spamming, just trying to get a link on a do follow blog, and rewards my loyal commenters by having their links be do follow.
I’m not sure what toolbar you’re trying to use, but if you send me a link to it, I’ll happily look into it for you. I use the Flock browser personally, I like it the best because it integrates social media, and also can use most firefox plugins.
Following up further on this do and no follow toolbar. Thanks for your offer to help. I’ve gone back to the back where I loaded the toolbar trying to get more information. Ive found the person who designed it, and left them a note on their blog. Hoping to get to the bottom of this so I can understand whats what. Currently have it turned on here on your page which is showing Jim, Morten, cindi, Matt in red…that is their names in their comments. Your name isn’t highlighted, dates of comments are purplish-blue, the word reply on every one’s comment is the red. The list of links you’ve left are all blue the purplish blue. My name in my comment is the blue-purplish color.
So, whats confusing me is if the people on your list above are all do follow and are blueish, then that would be the color I want to see…? Right? But, then their names are red? So….I’m truly confused. The flip colors are what I saw on the designers blog.
In the area beneath where it says submit comment, the words nofollow free are the purplishblue, while the words thank me later are red.
Here’s the link where the toolbar is available, you can see the one line about it, says it color codes it, but doesn’t say which colors and what it means.

..what a blog..!!..I just find your blog in my friends blogroll..for me there is Ok for being no follow or do follow..as long as we responsible for what we comment for..sorry my english not very good..but how can you know about someone blog that has no follow..thanks for your information..I’ll visit your blog again..
The quickest and easiest way for me is to look at the source and see if the links include the “nofollow” attribute. But it isn’t always right when looking at blogs such as mine, where it doesn’t become a “do follow” until the commenter has left 3 comments. Thanks for stopping by!
thx for this nice and huge dofollow list
I didn’t start the do follow list, I just publish it, the site where you can get added is mentioned above. Thanks for stopping by!
man i must be slacking I didn’t even realize there were plugins that let you pick how many times a person must comment before getting the “do Follow” sweet blog!
Yes indeed, there are wordpress plugins that let you do just about anything your heart desires! That’s why I love this script!
Always feel free to leave links to do follow bloggers here! You might also try adding them to the above list by adding it at the URL at the top. Thanks for stopping by!
Glad to see that you found my blog useful! Don’t forget to add your blogs to the list at Life In the Fast Lane! I get a lot of traffic from it! Thanks for stopping by!
