I too like the anticipation the best – the actual day always seems a bit of a disappointment. But I also have problems keeping secrets, when I buy someone something I always want to give it to them immediately, or end up telling them what it is before hand. Kids these days just seem to believe that everyone needs a cell phone, we have friends whom have bought their eight year olds cell phone – to me that’s way too young. But I know I couldn’t live without mine anymore – it’s so much more that a phone for me. I type most of my blog posts on it, it is my email, my organizer, my address book, my mp3 player, I even read e-books on it. Life would simply go haywire if I were to lose it – I wouldn’t know what’s going on in my own life without it. Thanks for stopping by!

I believe it makes life a heck of a lot easier. If it weren’t for texting and cell phones, I fear I’d often be chasing my hubby out of the driveway because he forgot something. Now I can just text him and he can come back and get it. But I also love texting him grocery lists – he can’t claim that he couldn’t read my writing. Thanks for stopping by!

The biggest reason for getting our son a phone is that he often has to stay after school for different clubs and such, this way he can text us when he’s reading to be picked up, and we can text him when we pull in. No more having to go have the school office page him for us. He’s wanted one since he was twelve, and we decided that that was way too young, he’ll be fifteen in just a few months. It also allows him to communicate with his father, without his father (my ex-husband) calling my cell phone, and asking to talk to him, anything that makes me have to talk to my ex less is definitely worth it!
