Friday Fragments is hosted by Mrs. 4444 @ Half-Past Kissin’ Time, so jump on over there and see what everyone else is up to!
I’ve got the one sentence from the first chapter of Eclipse stuck in my mind, along with, once again, Taylor Swift… The line that just keeps repeating through my head:
I imagined he was contemplating the fact that his family’s presence was turning the locals into giant dogs.
I find that to be one of the funniest sentences in the whole Twilight series! (Especially when taken out of context!)
My kids are back in school already, they started back Tuesday. Wow, where did the summer go? I’m not ready to be alone all the time again… And I’ve decided the dogs aren’t that great company – they still refuse to answer me when I talk to them. Hmm…. Maybe if they were giant dogs it would be a different story?
One of our best friends became a grandfather again last week… He just celebrated his 40th birthday this summer… I’m not even in my mid thirties yet, but all of our friends are becoming grandparents??? (Of course, I am one of the youngest of the bunch, but still the oldest is only in his mid-forties.)
I added my site to a few free web directories and so far it seems to have brought in a good deal of traffic.
Ahh, the holiday weekend… Three full days with everyone home, and no real plans. I love these holidays where there’s nothing to do but relax! Now let’s just hope that Mr. Wonderful actually lets us relax and doesn’t get some bug up his butt about finishing projects around the house.
And that’s what’s on my mind – What’s on yours?

Ack. A grandparent at 40? I’ll be 40 in less than a year and my son is 4. I cannot imagine. Then again, I started really late. I’m the OLD mom in the bunch.

Yes, lots of people around hicktown hit grandparent status very young. I used to be one of the youngest moms, as I had my son at 19, but with my daughter’s group, I’m just average. Her first grade class has only 3 kids in it whom I didn’t graduate with one or more of their parents. I’d rather be the old mom in the bunch, as when you’re the young one – no one takes you seriously. Thanks for stopping by!
I was trying to figure out how it was possibly September just yesterday *L*

I know where does the time go? It just seems to start moving faster and faster the older I get! Thanks for stopping by!
I think the older I get the faster time flies! It hasn’t been a great summer (weather-wise) here in Canada but I’ve been fortunate to go on several road trips to the States this year and I’ve enjoyed all of them having met some interesting people and seen some wonderful sites.
I was hoping to take off again for the Labor Day weekend but unfortunately I came down with a bout of bronchial pneumonia earlier in the week and am now on antibiotics. Feeling much better today but not 100% and certainly not up for traveling.
Hope you have a great weekend!

It sure does fly! Hope you get to feeling better soon! Thanks for stopping by!
One of my former student’s girlfriend is pregnant. This will make him a daddy at age 17, and his own father will be a grandpa at age 33. I look forward to being a grandparent, but not THAT much. Look at it this way; you can learn from your friend’s grandparenting mistakes, not that there are that many to make, I suppose
Hope your weekend was as lazy as could be!

I’m not too worried about being a very young grandparent (well, at least not until my daughter gets older), as my teenage son hasn’t even noticed girls yet, and has very definite plans for his future. But it’s still weird listening to all our friends talk about their grandchildren, while my youngest is just in first grade.
It was a pretty lazy weekend after all.

I”m 42 and I chose not to have children, but hearing about my HS classmates sending kids off to college or playing with grandkids is really making me rethink my choices when I was in my 20s. Ah well.
That’s a funny line from Eclipse. I thought that it was funny when I first read it, too. Cool!

At 42 it’s still not too late for children! It’s weird the things that make us look back and regret decisions that we were so sure of at the time… But that’s life…
I find that line incredibly funny, and it pops into my mind at stupid random times and I find myself laughing while everyone around me stares at me like I’m crazy… But then maybe I am!

and think, this is life- and u never know what gonna happen-not to u OR ANYONE ELSE
That’s very true, no one ever knows what’s going to happen… Thanks for stopping by!
